At Sea Colony, our roads, walking paths, and beaches are shared by residents, guests, and visitors of all ages. Whether you're taking an evening stroll, riding your bike to the beach, or driving a golf cart to the pool, following a few simple safety rules helps ensure everyone can enjoy our community.

Motorized Vehicles Belong on Roadways
To protect pedestrians and reduce accidents, all motorized vehicles must be operated on designated roadways within Sea Colony.
This includes, but is not limited to:
E-bikes operating with motor power or pedal assist
Electric scooters
Electric skateboards
Hoverboards
Golf carts
Low-speed vehicles (LSVs)
Mopeds
Minibikes
Other similar motorized transportation devices
Motorized vehicles are not permitted on Sea Colony's walking paths.
Please note: An e-bike that is not using motor power or pedal assist and is being ridden like a traditional bicycle is not considered a motorized vehicle for this rule.
Know the Community Speed Limit
The speed limit throughout Sea Colony is 15 MPH.
Please slow down, especially in areas with heavy pedestrian traffic, children, and families crossing the road. A few extra seconds can make a big difference in keeping everyone safe.
Obey Traffic Signs
All drivers and riders should:
Come to a complete stop at stop signs.
Follow all posted traffic signs and directional signage.
Yield when required.
Traffic rules apply to everyone using our roadways.
Pedestrians Always Have the Right-of-Way
Sea Colony is designed to be enjoyed on foot. Please be courteous by slowing down, yielding to pedestrians, and giving walkers plenty of space.
A friendly wave and a little patience help make our community welcoming for everyone.
Ride Responsibly
Before heading out:
Wear a properly fitted helmet.
Stay alert and avoid distractions.
Ride at a safe speed for conditions.
Follow Delaware laws and safety requirements for your vehicle.
Parents are encouraged to review these rules with children and teens before they ride.
