Sea Colony Girls Hoops Academy

Build strong skills, gain confidence, and have fun on the court with former collegiate basketball player Julia Sutton.

 

This six-week girls basketball program is designed to help young athletes improve their fundamentals in a positive, encouraging environment. Each session will focus on skill development, teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game.

Program Details

Wednesdays beginning September 23

 

Grades: 4–5: 5:00–6:00 PM

Grades: 6–8: 6:00–7:00 PM

Location: Sea Colony Freeman Fitness Center

Length: Six weeks

Full program: $100 per athlete

Drop-in rate: $20 per session

Minimum enrollment: Six athletes per group

What Will Athletes Work On? Players will develop their dribbling, shooting, defense, teamwork, and overall basketball skills through drills, games, and supportive instruction.

 

Who Should Join? The academy is open to girls in grades 4 through 8. Players of all experience levels are welcome, whether they are learning the basics or looking to sharpen their skills before the upcoming season.

Coach Julia

Julia Sutton is a former collegiate basketball player at Montclair State University, where she competed at the Division III level and served as a three-year team captain. She has trained and competed at a high level throughout her career, including traveling nationally with the York Lady Raiders AAU program.Basketball has been a lifelong foundation for Julia, shaped by years of high-level competition and a strong family influence through her father, who coached her early development in the game.Julia brings a strong emphasis on skill development, basketball IQ, and confidence-building to every training session. Her approach blends structure, intensity, and encouragement to help athletes elevate their fundamentals and reach their full potential on and off the court.
