Promenade Coating Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW

We’re pleased to announce that the promenade and concrete planters are being re-coated and re-faced as part of a multi-year phased project. Work began in the Fall of 2023 and will continue over consecutive three seasons according to the following schedule:

• Stage I: 2023/24 – Annapolis, Brandywine, and Chesapeake - COMPLETED

• Stage II: 2024/25 – Dover, Edgewater - COMPLETED

• Stage III: 2025/26 – Farragut, Georgetowne, Harbour, and Island

Please be aware that removing the existing seal coat may be loud and dusty. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we enhance the promenade.

Stage III of the Promenade recoating project will begin with canopies, furniture, and planters being removed starting the week of September 8, 2025, with work planned to begin the week of September 15, 2025. This final phase will renovate the Promenade coating from Farragut House to Island House. Because of the area’s size, completion will depend on both scheduling and weather. Work will begin as soon as possible to ensure completion by next spring. Beach crossovers will close as work progresses in those areas throughout the project.
