This year's tournament faced its fair share of difficulties with ever-changing weather conditions, but it did not detract from the tremendous talent these athletes brought to every match. On Saturday, Kayla Cross and Jaeda Daniels clinched the doubles title and a share of the $25,000 prize money. Sunday was reserved for the singles finals!
Eighth seed Kajsa Rinaldo Persson faced Akasha Urhobo, who had previously defeated top seed Maria Mateas to secure her spot in the finals. The match showcased the true skill and sportsmanship of both athletes. Kajsa Rinaldo Persson emerged victorious with a final score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, claiming her share of the $25,000 prize.
This tournament would not have been possible without the generous sponsorship from Vacasa, the support of the USTA, ITF, Sea Colony staff, and the wonderful community that hosts this event. We look forward to next year's competition!
