The final day of the Troon Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony wrapped up an incredible week of world-class tennis with a standout championship performance.
In Sunday’s singles final, Ayana Akli (USA) claimed the title with a confident and composed victory over Ana Sofia Sanchez (MEX) [3], winning 6–2, 7–5. Akli controlled the match from the start, showcasing powerful groundstrokes and strategic play to secure her first Troon Pro Women’s Open title.
The win capped off a strong run for Akli, who battled through a nearly three-hour semifinal on Saturday before returning to the court with poise and precision for the championship.
Thank you to all the players, fans, officials, staff, USTA, and ITF for making this an unforgettable week of tennis. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Sea Colony next year!
