Day 4 of the Troon Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony began with near perfect conditions and strong momentum on court—but the weather had other plans. After a promising start, rain delays disrupted play and eventually brought the day to an early close.
In singles, top seed Despina Papamichail cruised past Alexandra Osborne 6-1, 6-1, while Jada Robinson rallied after dropping the first set to overcome Haruna Arakawa 5-7, 6-0, 6-2. Other notable wins came from Alexis Nguyen, Ayana Akli, Fiona Crawley, and second seed Anna Rogers. The singles action wrapped with a hard-fought comeback by Ana Sofia Sanchez, who defeated Jaeda Daniel 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Doubles play was cut short by rain. The tournament will resume tomorrow with four singles matches to complete the Round of 16, followed by doubles and the doubles semifinals. Stay tuned—more high-level tennis is on the way!
