On Day 3, there was optimism that the inclement weather would clear up, allowing matches to proceed in the afternoon. Despite a temporary break from the wind and rain, permitting the completion of one match in which Osuigwe [7] defeated Kendall-Woseley 6-1 6-2, the harsh conditions returned, leading to the cancellation of the remaining matches.
However, the day's excitement didn't end there! As part of the tournament festivities, Sea Colony and the USTA hosted Kid's Day, inviting participants of all ages to join in the fun alongside world-ranked tennis players and Sea Colony Pros. Through engaging games aimed at improving skills and nurturing a love for tennis, over a dozen kids took part, ensuring a memorable and successful evening!
Sea Colony has been recognized by the ITF as a Green Star tournament. The ITF Tournament Recognition Scheme acknowledges tournaments with exceptional player satisfaction across various ITF World Tennis Tour categories.
