Day 2 - Excitement builds as main draw matches get underway

On the second day of action at the 11th Annual Vacasa Pro Women's Open at Sea Colony, a prestigious ITF Green Star $25,000 tournament, the qualifying rounds wrapped up, paving the way for intense competition in the main singles and doubles events.

The day started with qualifying finals which led 7 players to win spots in the singles main draw event. Players stamping their ticket to the next round were:

Following the conclusion of the qualifying finals, the singles and doubles main draw events began. It didn't take long for the exceptional talent on display to become evident, as matches proved to be challenging tests of skill. Successful tournaments receive a green star badge of recognition on the official tournament page. The Tournament Recognition Program aims to motivate and reward tournaments that excel in enhancing the overall tournament experience for players, support teams, and officials. This program acknowledges tournaments that meet and surpass ITF's delivery standards and rewards tournaments for their longevity and dedication to the Tour.

With generous sponsorship from Vacasa, along with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and the supportive Sea Colony community, the excitement continues to build at this exhilarating singles and doubles tournament. Spanning through Sunday, this event attracts women tennis players from both national and international rankings, all vying for valuable world ranking points and a portion of the impressive prize payout.

Wednesday’s action kicks off at 10am, weather dependent, with the second round of singles and doubles main draw play. Admission is free to all matches and the public is invited to spectate! Join us on Saturday, May 18 for the doubles final and Sunday, May 19 for the singles finals.
