Day 1: Opening Day Washed Out

Day 1 of the Troon Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony was unfortunately washed out as steady rain moved into Bethany Beach around 8:45 a.m. and continued throughout the day, forcing play to be called.
Tournament action resumes early on Tuesday, May 12 at 9:30am with a full day of competition ahead. Qualifying players are scheduled to compete twice, and four Main Draw Singles matches are also on the schedule as the tournament gets underway on Sea Colony’s clay courts.
Day 2 features Main Draw matches including Haley Giavara [3] (USA) vs. Anita Sahdiieva (UKR), Alexis Nguyen (USA) vs. Savannah Broadus (USA), Kylie Collins (USA) vs. Antonia Vergara Rivera [6] (CHI), and Bella Payne (USA) vs. Mell Reasco Gonzalez [4] (ECU).
Thanks to the continued support of Troon, the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and the Sea Colony community, the Troon Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony continues to bring world-class tennis to Bethany Beach. Running through Sunday, May 17, the tournament features top women’s singles and doubles players from around the world competing for valuable ranking points and a share of the $30,000 prize purse.
Admission is free to all matches and the public is invited to spectate! Join us on Saturday, May 16 for the doubles final and Sunday, May 17 for the singles finals.
