Beach, Promenade & Walking Paths

 

Need some quiet time?  

 

There's nothing more relaxing than a nice nature stroll.  You can try out our half mile of private beach or a walk along the Promenade with a view of the ocean.  You can also venture north about a mile into Bethany Beach, to a boardwalk recently named "The best boardwalk in America" by American Profile magazine.  

 

On the west side, there are walking and running paths throughout the community.  Wind your way through the phases, past lakes, pools and playgrounds while enjoying the beautiful landscape.

 

Beach

We have half a mile of private, guarded beach on Delaware's beautiful Coast south of Bethany Beach, which is one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline on the East Coast.

 

Picnics, Playgrounds & Grassy Areas

There are four, year round picnic and playground areas.  Three are located on the west at Tram Stops 33 (near West Lake), 12 (behind the Freeman Fitness Center), 15 (near the Aquatic Center) and one on the east at Tram Stop A (near the tennis and basketball courts).  In the summer, additional playgrounds are set up on the beach.

The Grassy Areas are located between the east condos and the beach and are perfect for wiffle ball, catch, Frisbee, picnics and anything under the sun.  No pets are permitted on the Grassy Areas. 

 

Outdoor Basketball Court

On the east side, at Tram Stop A, there is an outdoor basketball court located near the tennis courts and playground.  

 

Fishing

It's man vs. fish at the west side lakes!  Enjoy catch and release fishing at nearly all west side lakes, except for "Swan Lake" near Rally Court and Volley Court on Westway Drive, and the southeast section of West Lake (around the gazebo) where signs indicate restrictions.  Look for sunfish, catfish and bass!
