Additional Sea Colony Amenities Open June 1


As the State of Delaware enters Phase 1 reopening and lifts its State of Emergency restrictions on quarantine, out-of-state visitors, and short-term rentals, Sea Colony is now able to open more of the amenities to owners, guests, and renters. The beach and selected pools opened May 23, so consult www.SeaColony.com/pool-schedule for more information, occupancy restrictions and disinfecting schedules. Starting June 1, the Freeman Fitness Center will open with health and safety modifications, from 6:30 am to 9 pm. The facility must comply with reduced occupancy and social distance guidelines.

Among the temporary changes are the following Fitness Center Reopening Protocols (Workout Rooms, Indoor Pool and Outdoor Pool).

  • Workout Room patrons will need to schedule a workout time on a first-come, first serve basis, either one day in advance at: https://www.seacolony.com/fit-scheduler or the day you want to work out by calling 302-539-4511.   • The Indoor Pool is limited to a maximum of 35 people in the pool and pool area.

  • From 6:30 to 8:50 am, there will be lap swim only in 30-minute slots.

  • From 9 am to 9 pm, the pool will be ½ Open Swim and ½ Lap Swim.

  • Also, the pool will close to be disinfected approximately every two hours for about 15 minutes, during which time, patrons must exit with their belongings.

  • The disinfecting schedule is: 8:50 and 10:50 am; 12:50, 2:50, 4:50 and 6:50 and 8:50pm. Click for more Indoor Pools guidelines.

  • The Outdoor Pool has a maximum of 15 people in the pool and pool area.

  • Hours of operation are 10 am to 6 pm.

  • The pool will close to be disinfected approximately every two hours for about 15 minutes, and during this time, patrons must exit with their belongings.

  • The disinfecting schedule is: 11:50 am; 12:50, 2:50 and 4:50 pm. Click for more Outdoor Pool guidelines.

  • We expect to open more ocean-side pools later in the month.

  • The Edgewater Fitness Center remains closed.

The Sea Colony Beach Shoppe will open June 1 from 9 am to 5 pm. There is a maximum of 7 patrons permitted inside at any time, and face masks must be worn to enter the Beach Shoppe.

Sea Colony Tennis currently is open for modified business. We are socially distancing on and off the court for safety. Come see us, but make sure you call ahead. Click here for guidelines and procedures. No walk-on play is allowed at this time. Tentatively the Pro Shop plans to open June 1 from 8 am to 6 pm with a maximum of 6 patrons at a time. Face masks must be worn to enter the Pro Shop. Oceanside Deli and Donuts is open on weekends only through June 16, when it will open full time. Current hours are:• Friday from 7 am to 2 pm• Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 4 pm The kiosk will be open depending on the weather, at 11 am. For now, the menu is limited. Sea Colony's beach is open and guarded from 10 am to 5:30 pm, weather permitting. Please note if there is lightening or thunder, both the beach, outdoor and indoor pools are closed until there is 30 minutes of clear weather. The State continues to require social distancing by family on the beach; masks are required on the boardwalk and are suggested on the beach. Sea Colony’s Beach Concession opened May 23, and weather permitting, umbrellas and chairs will be available beginning at 10 am on the beach. Umbrellas will be placed 10 feet apart edge-to-edge, complying with State health and safety recommendations, and cabanas can be placed only in designated areas. There is signage and staff to assist. Playgrounds are not part of the Phase 1 opening and remain closed. The tram service begins June 15. Thanks for your continued patience and full cooperation.
