Five Sea Colony Outdoor Tennis Courts to Open May 8 for Social Play
Following CDC Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines Private Lessons Available 5/8; Adult Clinics Available 5/9
The following letter to owners is from Sea Colony Tennis Director Thomas Johnston:
Hello,
We hope this email finds you well! We’ve missed seeing everyone and hope our social media posts have kept you entertained and informed.
We are excited to announce that we will have five (5) of our fourteen (14) outdoor hard courts open for social play beginning Friday, May 8th from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm! Play will be available in 90 minute increments (i.e. 7:30-9 am, 9-10:30 am, 10:30 am-12 pm, etc.). Summer Members will be permitted to reserve outdoor courts starting at 10:30 am, 24 hours in advance. In addition, private lessons are available on Friday, May 8th and adult clinics will begin on Saturday, May 9th.
Because the pro shop will be closed to the public, ALL court reservations must be made in Court Reserve or by phone. When making reservations, all players’ names must be included (this allows for contact tracing). Names can be added to the “Notes” section of the reservation in Court Reserve. Please notify the pro-shop with any changes. There will be a staff member in the pro shop from 8 am to 6 pm daily to answer the phone, take reservations, and handle any issues that may arise.
Listed below are some of the changes that have been made regarding the outdoor tennis courts:
When coming to play bring as few personal items on the court as possible
Please bring your own water or sport drink, water will no longer be provided on the court
When entering/exiting a court use the designated gates which must be left open
Adjacent court play will not be permitted
Each player should use their own balls (see specific Guidelines linked below)
Use your racquet to pass a ball to another player
Stay on your side of court. Avoid changing ends of the court.
Please wrap up play 5 minutes before your time is over to ensure a no contact transition
Do not enter court area until previous players have exited
Bathrooms will not be available until further notice
There will be NO walk-on play
Facemasks/coverings are recommended
Pickleball reservations may be made beginning at 12pm.However, play is limited to singles only at this time

Pro Shop Hours of Operation:
Open 7 days a week, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Courts are available for social play from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Lessons are available from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Ball Machine is not available
We look forward to seeing you soon, and want to assure you we are following CDC safety and social distancing guidelines. It is imperative that we comply with all rules and social distancing guidelines so we are not forced to close the courts again.
